China Environmentalist Alleges Brutal Jail Treatment 中国环保人士称野蛮监狱待遇

Wu was arrested in April 2007 and sentenced to three years on extortion charges after campaigning for years against pollution in Taihu lake, one of China's biggest freshwater lakes and once famed for its beauty.吴氏于2007年4月被捕，被判勒索罪名至三年后的竞选活动对太湖湖，中国最大的淡水湖泊之一污染多年，一次是它的美丽而闻名。
